Everyday Dose Messaging Audit + Design

As the Freelance Creative Lead, I was brought in to analyze Everyday Dose’s advertising strategy and identify untapped messaging opportunities in a crowded functional coffee market. By uncovering key whitespace angles like immunity as a daily shield and dependency-free ritual, I developed fresh ad concepts and copy that reframed the brand as both protective and liberating. My work expanded the creative territory beyond energy and focus, positioning Everyday Dose to capture seasonal demand and convert frustrated coffee drinkers seeking healthier alternatives.

Scope & Vision

Everyday Dose had strong traction in wellness messaging of gut health, energy without crash, focus, stress relief, but there were clear gaps competitors like Four Sigmatic and RYZE were exploiting. My role was to identify under-leveraged angles and create ad concepts that expanded Everyday Dose’s value story, especially heading into cold/flu season.

Approach

I conducted a gap analysis across current brand messaging and competitor campaigns, pinpointing two heavy-hitter opportunities missing from the mix: immunity as a daily shield and dependency-free ritual. From there, I developed creative territories and wrote ad copy to make these benefits tangible and emotionally resonant. To maximize resources, I leaned into AI-assisted workflows (ChatGPT for ideation and Adobe Firefly for visual exploration) to quickly scale fresh still ad concepts without straying from brand alignment.

Execution & Deliverables

Built two new campaign angles:
Immunity Shield → framing Dose as a daily “defense ritual” with mushroom-based immune support.
Dependency-Free Ritual → positioning Dose as freedom from coffee crashes, jitters, and withdrawal.

  1. Designed visual ad concepts in both square and vertical formats for social and paid campaigns

  2. Wrote high-impact copy hooks such as:
    “Skip Sick Days, Not Coffee” and “Break Up With Your Coffee Addiction”

  3. Extended messaging into benefit-forward still ads highlighting antioxidants, immune defense, and withdrawal-free mornings

Everyday Dose’s ad library included outdated visuals and copy that no longer matched the brand’s elevated tone or effectively communicated product benefits. My task was to audit existing assets, identify where they felt confusing, generic, or off-brand, and redesign them into sharper, more benefit-driven ads that delivered clarity and impact in seconds.

Approach

I applied a structured before-and-after framework, breaking down why certain ads underperformed, whether due to cluttered layouts, generic headlines, or unclear product presentation, and rebuilt them with a focus on:

  • Lifestyle authenticity → shifting away from generic stock toward shots that feel personal and brand-connected.

  • Copy precision → reducing heavy text, clarifying offers, and refreshing headlines with benefit-driven hooks.

  • Visual clarity → restructuring layouts to highlight hierarchy, benefits, and value at a glance.

By reframing the creative through this lens, I was able to modernize Everyday Dose’s assets while staying aligned with their bold, health-focused positioning.

Execution & Deliverables

Image Update: Replaced stock-feeling visuals with lifestyle/productivity-driven imagery that better reflects the brand.

  1. Copy Refresh: Simplified word count, reframed CTAs, and swapped generic headlines for clear, benefit-led hooks (“Focus Unlocked” vs “Game Changer”).

  2. Layout Redesign: Improved hierarchy with cleaner composition, separators, and labeled product shots so customers could instantly see what’s included.

  3. Value Clarity: Introduced side-by-side pricing, bold “before/after” framing, and called out free items individually to enhance perceived value.
